What shutup does, what it doesn't, and the things worth knowing before you buy.
ShutUp does a great job of cleaning up 80–90% of unwanted noise. It doesn't remove the noise at source, so you may still hear some residual noise in the lower mids — but there's still a vast difference.
No — it's designed to be used in conjunction with the noise gates included in amp sims, not as a replacement for them. However you should be able to set those noise gates in a much more conservative manner for a more natural effect.
As this is a digital product, no refunds are offered. A free trial is available so you can be sure it's right for you before buying.
shutup runs as a VST3 and AU plugin in Cubase, Nuendo, Logic, Reaper, Studio One and Ableton. AAX support and Pro Tools compatibility are to follow in the near future.
